Jack Clifford

Co-Founder, Partner, Chief Financial Officer

As chief financial officer of weAudit.com, Jack is responsible for oversight of all aspects of weAudit.com and its subsidiaries’ financial operations including controllership, treasury, financial planning, analysis and corporate development. Jack was the first investor and sat on the advisory board before becoming chief financial officer in 2018.
Jack began his career in Chicago at Heller & Co., managing a multi-million dollar portfolio for the largest commercial finance company in the country. He was then recruited by the Bank of California to create and run their asset based lending division on the west coast, becoming the fastest growing lending unit and the most profitable division in the bank. After 5 successful years, the bank was sold and Jack accepted an offer to start a similar operation for Mercantile Bank in St. Louis, MO. For almost 20 years he was president of Mercantile Business Credit, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of Mercantile Bank. This commercial finance company grew to become the largest in Missouri and one of the 25 largest in the USA. In 2001 the bank was sold and Jack was recruited by Fifth Third Bank to start a structured finance group for the bank in St. Louis. Primarily focusing on private equity acquisition financing, he grew the St. Louis portfolio to the largest in the country for Fifth Third Bank. 

Highly respected in his field, Jack brings over 40 years of financial management in the banking industry to weAudit.com, a tremendous benefit to all prospective and current clients of weAudit.com. He served on the board of directors of the National Commercial Finance Association for 23 years and was a member of the executive committee and chairman of the education committee. 

Jack is a graduate of the University of Illinois with a degree in finance and a graduate of Roosevelt University with a masters degree in finance. He is also a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA.
