Versapay Fees: The Platform Fee You See, and the Processing Fee You Don’t
Versapay sells accounts receivable automation to mid-sized B2B companies: invoicing, collections, cash application, and the payments that run through them. The software license gets negotiated hard. The card processing behind it often does not, and for a company that takes a lot of card payments, it is usually the bigger number.
Versapay does not publish pricing. Its license is a line item a CFO reviews; its processing fee is a percentage of every invoice paid by card. Versapay’s Level 2 and Level 3 tools can lower interchange on business cards, but that only helps you if your pricing passes the saving through.
Figures in brief
- Not published: Versapay’s software and processing prices are quoted per customer.
- About $50,000 to $150,000+ a year: independent 2026 estimates of a mid-market Versapay license, before processing.
- Interchange-plus available: the pricing structure to insist on.
- Level 2 and Level 3: Versapay optimizes enriched data on business cards, which can lower interchange materially.
- Over 95 percent of the surcharging merchants weAudit has audited were not compliant, which matters if you use automated surcharging.
How Versapay pricing is built
| Cost | How it is priced | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Platform license | Annual, quoted | Modules, users and ERP connectors included |
| Card processing | Quoted; interchange-plus available | The markup on interchange, in writing |
| ACH processing | Quoted | Per-transaction cost on large invoices |
| Chargebacks and retrievals | Per occurrence | Amounts in your agreement |
| Statement, card brand usage and similar fees | Monthly or per item | Which ones apply to you |
| Early deconversion | On exit | What leaving costs before you sign |

Why the processing fee is the bigger number
Take a company collecting $2 million a month by card through its AR portal.
a month for every 0.20% of markup on top of interchange. That is $48,000 a year, in the same range as many Versapay licenses, from a markup that most finance teams never see broken out.
is the kind of interchange difference Level 2 and Level 3 data can make on a corporate or purchasing card. On $2 million a month, getting that right, and making sure you keep it, is worth far more than a discount on the software.
For credit managers. AR platforms are sold on time saved, and they deliver it. But the payments they process are priced like any other merchant account, by whoever wrote the deal. Read our page for credit managers on where B2B card costs hide.
A word on automated surcharging
Versapay offers automated surcharging to recover card costs. It is legal in most states, but only within strict rules: credit only, never debit, no more than your true cost or 3%, written notice to your acquirer, and clear disclosure. The networks now enforce those rules with secret shoppers and fines, and in weAudit’s audits more than 95 percent of surcharging merchants were not compliant. A surcharge on an overpriced account also passes your processor’s markup to your customers. See surcharge laws by state.
How to lower what you pay
- Negotiate processing as hard as the license. Get interchange-plus and the markup in writing.
- Confirm Level 2 and Level 3 savings reach you, line by line, on your business card transactions.
- Steer large invoices to ACH where customers will pay that way.
- Know the exit cost before you sign.

Common questions
What are Versapay’s fees?
Versapay does not publish its pricing. Customers typically pay a platform license for its accounts receivable software, plus card and ACH processing fees on the payments that run through it. Processing is quoted per customer, and interchange-plus pricing is available.
How much does Versapay cost?
Independent estimates in 2026 put mid-market Versapay licenses at roughly $50,000 to $150,000 or more a year, before processing fees. For companies that take a lot of card payments, the processing fees can exceed the license.
Does Versapay offer interchange-plus pricing?
Yes, it offers customized pricing including interchange-plus. Interchange-plus is the structure that lets Level 2 and Level 3 savings on business cards actually reach you.
Does Versapay support Level 2 and Level 3 data?
Yes. Versapay promotes interchange optimization with enriched Level 2 and Level 3 data on business cards, which can lower interchange materially on corporate and purchasing cards.
Should I use Versapay’s automated surcharging?
Be careful. Surcharging is legal in most states only within strict network rules, and the networks now enforce them with secret shoppers and fines. In weAudit’s audits, more than 95 percent of surcharging merchants were not compliant. Audit first, and never surcharge more than your true cost.
What other Versapay fees should I check?
Software reviewers have listed chargeback and retrieval fees, a paper statement fee, card brand usage fees and an early deconversion fee among Versapay’s charges. Confirm each against your own agreement.

Our first audit is free and takes about five minutes of your time. We separate your Versapay processing costs from interchange, check whether your Level 2 and Level 3 savings reach you, and review any surcharge program for compliance. If there is nothing to find, you will know that too.
